Neuropsychology.Org Measures of Anxiety and Depression

NOMAD

The Neuropsychology.Org Measures of Anxiety and Depression are a quick means of assessing Depression and Anxiety. Each item is rated on a 0- to 2-point scale and the scales collectively take about 5 minutes to complete. The features of the NOMAD include:

  • Symptom validity items to detect symptom under- and over-reporting.

  • Psychological items separated from physiological items to quickly distinguish psychological symptoms of depression/anxiety from physiological symptoms (often present in a rehabilitation population).

  • Items organized to highlight diagnostic categories common to depression and anxiety (e.g., Panic Disorder).

Depression Scale

Depression is common among those recovering from illness or injury.  The NOMAD Depression scale is composed of 24 items targeting symptoms of depression. 

Anxiety Scale

Anxiety is common among individuals in physical rehabilitation. The NOMAD Anxiety scale is composed of 24 items targeting symptoms of anxiety.
